Needing to stretch out for longer freeway rides...anyone use heel rests for floor boards? or highway pegs on the crash bars?
Good Brands recommended? Good combinations recommended? Thanks. Last edited by Westlander; 04-10-2012 at 07:28 PM. |

Have pegs and almost never use them.
I really liked "John's Forward Controls"! Moves everything ahead 3"s and made the longer rides a whole lot more comfy for me. http://www.johnskits.com/

I don't want to use forwards, because I have floor boards.
I just want to stretch occasionally...there are such things as heel rests that bolt on the floorboards. It is either highway pegs or floor boards. I was just wondering if anyone had used the heelrests? |

Westlander I believe there was one or two people with the heel rest. I searched and came upon a thread but the version they used was discontinued. Heel Rest for Floorboards....... Might want to read this thread too. Floor Board Heel Rest There are a few Harley floorboard options but you would have to try to make them fit. Most people go with a Highway bar and pegs. You have several options with kind of bar, I have a Cobra bar and have the Kuryaykn pegs. (I also have forward controls with my floorboards). Most highway bars for our bike are 1.25 in diameter, Kuryakn sells the clamps and a huge amount of options for pegs.
Mflie2000 this should answer your question to what will fit your cobra bar also. http://www.kuryakyn.com/Metric/Foot-...ay-Cruise-Pegs

OK, Finally got them put on, and they work great.
Don't laugh...a gate latch post from Lowes, $10.00 for both. Very easy MOD, and Very comfortable. https://picasaweb.google.com/1090484...03441605673730 https://picasaweb.google.com/1090484...03461839631218 Last edited by Westlander; 04-10-2012 at 08:23 PM. |

^That's flippin' awesome.
I work right next to a lowes. Will buy some this week How'd you secure them to the boards? and I'm guessing they'll scrape easier than the boards too? |
