Hi,
I'm new to this forum, a guy from Austria and just a few steps from buying a used 2004 volusia. The problem is that yesterday when i wanted to sign the contract there was a little bit of oil below the bike. Because there is snow on the streets in austria now and i have no chance to get the bike to a garage i hope that somebody here can help me with the problem. I have attached some pics of the leak and from the bottom of the bike. Does anybody know what the reason can be and how difficult it is to fix it again? Thanx for your help! ![]()

First & Foremost:
Welcome to the VR Site! Stand the machine upright, (while sitting on it), and using an inexpensive inspection mirror, check the oil level in the sight-glass on the right lower side of the motor. If it's over-filled with oil, that excess oil will escape through the breather, or possibly from a couple other places, sometimes past a seal or gasket. Post Your findings here, and if further assistance with the issue is needed, I'm sure that it can be addressed here in this thread. Inspection Mirror image:

Check for loose oil filter. Just had that problem today.
