Default Are the modified drives for the C50 worth the price?

In a word, YES! I was finally able to get out on the highway today to test the drive that I had purchased from King-Pin last month.

The ride is smoother as claimed by many and the engine seemed to be working less at high speed.

I was putting along at 70mph, (actual), and was thinking that this thing is really smooth. Then I remembered I had another gear left. I hit 5th and cranked it on until the speedo was showing 100mph. I ran out of room and had to slow down but at that speed the machine seemed to be very happy.

The real test will be when I take the March trip to Indiana. 500 mile plus days will tell me if my investment was really worth it, somehow I think I know that answer already.

If you're holding off or comtemplating getting a modified drive and if you ride the major roads for extended miles then a modified drive is the way to go.

Another + is the drive cuts way down on high speed vibration which tires you out. It increases your indurance. Your ride to Indiana will be more enjoyable.

Did that today and it felt great! I like the fact that 5 gear is always there if you need it!

I liked my cruiser. My regular bikes are smooth as glass at 130, so I always enjoyed a little buzz. So the DJ drive was not for me.

I'm in the minority, but I never saw the value.

I've read a lot about the drive mod and as soon as I have enough money saved and can finid someone locally to put it on...I will invest in the drive
