Hi all, I've been lurking here for a while and I thought I better do the right thing, introduce myself and say G'day. The names Shane. I used to ride sports bikes in the 80's but I lacked responsibility (putting it mildly) and was gonna kill myself on it. I never realized that till I grew up a bit and got married. Sanity prevailed and I sold the bike to make sure I'de be around for my wife and kid. The Daughter has grown up a bit now and when the missus and I made friends with a couple our age who have a C50, the wife suggested it would be a good thing to ride with them. But even now I know that If I got myself another sports bike I'd get carried away again so I knew I needed a cruiser. I'm now the proud owner of an 04 Volusia which I picked up a month ago, silver and white with a windshield, white leather seats, sissy bar and saddle bags (I'd post a picture but none of these formatting options seem to be working for me ATM). Yahoo what a ride. I've wanted a cruiser for years and now that I've finally got one I couldn't be happier. I'm sure it wont be long and the customizing bug will take hold and I know what a wonderful resource you guys and this forum will be then. Anyway, great to meet you all and G'day from Aus.
