I recently did the Honest Abe Mod. Prefer the lower throatier sound. No noticable effect on performance. I think I used a bit more fuel initially as I wanted to to "give 'er" a little more on my first few rides.

Welcome from Nebraska!! I too lost the spring for the rear brake pedal... I was able to fine a suitable replacement at either Ace Hardware, or Autozone, I don't recall for sure, but it only cost me a buck or two at the most...

Welcome from Melbourne.
Is the rear on the M50 a drum? If so, check that your brake shoes aren't completely worn, when they get to a certain point the cam that turns to spread the brake shoes may turn far enough to stick. |
