I just want to say, thanks’ for the welcome and help from everyone.
I have had many bikes thru my life, just like many of you. But I have to say, this is my first Boulevard, and it’s great. I’ve had the intruders in the past and even a few sports bike for my son, but nothing has performed as this one has. I just sold my VTX 1800 being that it was really too big and bulky, had an Indian look alike from the Kawasaki group, and even a few Harleys before purchasing this boulevard c50. I wanted the larger one, but this one just happened to come available at a great price, so I bought it. After a few rides, and over 100 miles around the island here in Hawaii, it didn’t take me long to feel the smooth ride, great power for only an 800 or so, nothing like the 1800 I just came off, and not having to stop all the time like my Harleys, I was truly amazed. Once again, thanks to all of you who have invited me in here and took the time to answer a few of my stupid questions. Let me leave you with a quote from a well-known comedian in Laughlin, NV last year. I was at the River Run and this star open the show with this great line about Harleys. He came on stage and said. “Harley lovers how are you! “ I was informed just tonight that 95% of all Harleys made to date, are still on the road today! (The crowd went wild agreeing with him) Then he went on to say, “The Other 5% Actually Made It Home” As a previous owner I can agree, I have had my love and hate relationship with Harley over the years, but I can truly say for the money I’m very happy with what I’m ridding today. Welcome from Austin!!! Was it the Drifter you had? large or small engine? That's what I was looking at till I found out about the C50's... fell in love and bought it the next day!!! I didn't like the floating rear fender on the Drifters... well I didn't like the way the full seat looked on it. Love my C50 ...and all of my other bikes...they're like kids, can't have any favorites I guess... hahaha
