Always late to the show, as my motorcycle friends know
Welcome to the site my love, you're going to (and have already) meet some of the best people on earth. I love riding with these people and you will too. I can hardly contain my excitement that you are getting into this hobby, this will be yet another thing to bring us together. I can't wait to hit the open road with you <3 Now all of our VR peeps can tell us to get a room on here as well as on facebook

Been riding for almost 40 years! Most recent ride is an 04 Volusia (now called C50). Great starter bike. I ride daily as long as it is above 40! Enjoy the backroads!

Welcome to the forum, Matt. (You're already part of the Yankee chapter, as I've told you.)
The basic rider course is a *GREAT* investment. The instructors pack more info into a weekend than you would learn in a year of trial-and-error riding. The Volusia/C50 is indeed an excellent first cruiser, but you should get a bike that you find comfortable. You'll be welcome no matter what brand or type of machine you choose. (My first time meeting the Volusia Riders, I was on a scooter.) Welcome again, Chris .
