yep...that time of year again...this ride started way back when and surprisingly has become an established yearly lunch & ride for me. Heading out to the Worcester this year for our lunch/meet point...open to any suggestions from the local riders from that area that know of a place that suits the groups needs...menu/budget/being able to tolerate this groups behavior. So keep it in your thoughts...figure lunch to be around 12-12:30 and will fine tune the details as we get closer. In the event of weather problems...clear water or the white stuff...we'll use the following Saturday April 8th as the rain date.
can't...it's the April Fools Day Ride...been going on tooooooooo long.....no reason not to do both for those going to the game tho.....make it a Vol Event Weekend...
going back to 2010...this was a ride I had the pleasure of sharing every year with Greg and Carlos as well as meeting and making new friends whom I still ride with today. Hopefully this year will bring a few new faces which presents a great opportunity to meet some of our group here in the northeast.
yes it was and The Bean as well..in fact...The Bean was pretty much the annual meeting place for this event in which from there a ride to the lunch spot took place but in all fairness to those from further north and further east who over the years have had to do the extra traveling to attend this and other events, so the reason to moving or staging this event someplace a bit more suitable or location friendly for them is this years idea. Whoever shows shows..too far for others...understood...like we always say here...something always going on...pick and choose what works best for each. I realize this location is further east and north for some but again the reason so many of my lunch meets I put together I try to pick different locations for.
I'm having a chicken wing party that evening or I'd be all over the hockey game. Just watched the Wolf Pack lose to the Falcons.
We'll see. Temps have to come up dramatically to lure me out.
OK. This sounds appealing. Worcester is in my backyard and would be a good ride to get the kinks out after a long winter. Also a good excuse to get the bike to my shop and the windscreen put on before the ride. Count me in, as long as the weather isn't ridiculous.
glad to read you'll be joining us...if the weather doesn't present favorable riding conditions we will wait a week..the idea is to enjoy the day and riding in unfavorable conditions does not help to make it an enjoyable or safe riding day. 3 weeks away...thinking positive.
We only got 12.5 inches here. Lol. This sounds like fun! I should be able to go depending on the weather. Just gave it a good washing, so depending how much sand and salts on the road, I may come out.
location on first post....New England riders still in hibernation? Such is life...considering last weeks April Fools Joke with the white stuff...expecting payback with an 80 degree day...would be nice...even settle for 70's.
ride is week from this Saturday...who pays attention to a rain forecast 9 days from today....would be nice to get a lot of rain this week to give the roads a good cleaning for next Saturday tho.....
Nice dose of rain today, washing that salt and sand off the road. The more rain this week, the better. Still got fingers crossed for some clearing on Saturday :applause:
day started off raw and nasty...sounds like my cooking...anyway...as the day went on...warmer temps arrived...keeping fingers crossed ZeussMiester wakes up in a good mood Saturday.
Did you throw an extra banana in the basket Sunday Dennis???
