got a chance to get out today for a couple of hours and search for a place we could have our dessert meet...after cruising some back country roads, stopped for a coffee and while sipping on such coffee in front of a fireplace inside the establishment, started thinking about what would be a good fit for this group..

first it would have to be out in the country...roads to get there preferably traffic free and fun...

the place would have to have a decent selection of desserts since it was a dessert meet

and at the same time be able to offer some other type of fare if someone required more than just dessert..

place would have to be casual with ample seating...

the kind of place that made one feel he's been before and always enjoyed himself...

where you not only brought old friends but also made new ones

by the time I finished my second cup of pecan flavored coffee I came to realize the type of place I was looking for was right in front of my nose...

funny thing...my first planned ride of the year...every year... always starts here and guess its only fitting the last ride of the year should end here.

guess all we need now is to pick a day...

Intersection of US 44 & CT 169. Bit of a haul for y'all!, Chris & Mike.

Me too. It's only 1.5 hours from my house.

The eastern border of Connecticut does seem rather a stretch for the Hudson Valley crew, whether by bike or even by cage.

Would anyone in the western area be interested in a luncheon meet-up somewhere below Albany, same day, same time?

Isn't that kind of dividing the group and taking away from the ride that Dennis planned?
