Isle of Man TT

Just 9 more days, kids. My Super Bowl, World Series and lower Oakland Roller Derby Championships rolled into one.

In a moment, first the bad news.

The King of the Mountain will not be at this year's TT. Mc guiness has a compound broken, well, everything after a huge crash last week at a 200 road race qualifier.

The good news, Guy Martin will be riding McGuiness's brand new Super Fireblade, in an effort to break BMW's dominance over the course.

I simply can't wait.

Velocity Channel again this year. Coverage is really good on velocity and two times a day coverage. Get up at 2 AM or so and watch live.

I lived in Douglas on the Isle of Man back right around this time in 1984. Worked with a contractor for a couple of weeks and got to meet a bunch of interesting people. Saw the races, (this was before I rode a bike) and thought they were the absolute craziest idiots on two wheels. Those roads and turns are TIGHTER than a ___! They still are crazy.

Keep your rubber on the road and your feet on the pegs and have a good ride.

Peace,

Imagine, they now run at almost double the speeds you saw in 1984

Watch some of those videos from the helmet cams and it is ridiculous what those riders do.

Plan for tomorrow and live for today.

I think it's amazing they find so many people with no fear every year to race in this thing. There is being an adrenaline junkie, then there is just having zero fear...
