Well since you threw in snow blowers......last year when my fairly new snow blower seized in the middle of the driveway. Pulled the BLACK dipstick to find no oil (of course when I realized I didn't even know where the dipstick was I immediately had a clue). Who knew they came with break in oil that needed to be changed after a bit? Operating Instructions are for DUMB people. Threw in some dirty oil, hit it with a hammer, and she started right up. Of course then I put the right oil in. So yep, I always check her oil first.

I've given this some thought (uh oh), and come up with these, in no particular order:

1. Riding my husband's Kawasai Vaquero, which for reasons I won't bore you by describing was throwing a monkey off my back.

2. Riding 325 miles to OctoVRFest. That was my longest single-day ride ever, and it was totally worth it.

And, though not related directly to riding ...

3. Acquitting myself reasonably well my first time ever doing karaoke, at the Yankee Rally. Hadn't sung in public in years, and everyone was so kind.

Happy New Year, Dennis, to you and Barb! <<HUGS>> Here's to an even better 2013!!

Taking some of my all day rides to meet some of the nice people from this site and enjoying some great food while I was at it. Makes a 6-10 hour round trip well worth it.

Some of my best moments in 2012 have certainly been riding. Spring Break, wife and I camped with our RV and bike in the Big Bend National Park region. Summer ride was round trip to CO Rockies, and we just completed this week a Pacific Coast Highway ride from LA to SF and back. Baby sitting our grandchildren ranks tops but since this is a riding forum, I'll share the rides...
