Default 2013 Motorcycle Resolutions

another one of those "for lack of anything better to do" threads...now that Christmas has come and gone and New years is approaching, what resolution mc related will be on your list...

mine will be to try to make it to the Dragon and neighboring roads...last years resolution that had to be cancelled due to family emergency...

maybe even actually put together a 5-6 state ride south of new england...something discussed in the past but never actually came together.

And to follow up on a camping weekend I considered putting together from another thread posted earlier...

New idea: One Night Stands

anyway...was hoping santa would leave a dog or gecko or inflatable doll under the tree for me but since not...will have to spend my time posting more useless/senseless jibberish here...sorry...btw ...have a happy and safe new years all.

My 2013 Resolutions.
I will not fall for a biker chick who lives 3000 miles away. Life is complicated enough without trying to solve that mystery for 6 years.
I will listen better, mostly to my new pipes but also to the tall tales from other bikers on the road.
I will organize a June rolling rally and not worry about what people say about my motel selection.
I will leave for Sturgis August 3rd via the longest and best passes between here and there.

I will not ride a bike wearing shorts.

Add a cruiser to the stable. Probably not going to happen, but aren't resolutions designed to be broken?

Stop scanning Craigslist for other bikes for sale
Check my tire pressure every time before I ride
Put together a tool kit to keep in the storage compartment
Replace the original grips as they look like shizz, but no more accessorizing. Well, I do need some new Metzler white walls; that doesn't count.

My 2013 Resolutions:
I will get in as much riding time as possible and still maintain harmony on the homefront
I will truly cherish time on the road and the downtime afterwards with my fellow Wescaleros and biker friends

Hmmm.....

1. Travel to at least 20 state capitals I have not been to before (that's how I think I should justify adding a state to my siggy map).
2. Get my passport and ride to Canada.
3. New hard saddlebags, trunk and Mustang seat.

Love this site - thanks everyone! My MC resolutions?
1. Get my new M50 road-worthy - can't wait to ride it for the first time!!!!
2. Ride my bike every chance I can - that means riding to school (I'm a secretary) even if I think it might rain on the way home (don't wanna get there drenched, but I don't mind riding home drenched!)
3. Ride to Pennsylvania for the long May weekend.
4. Ride to east coast during summer (yeah for schools being closed!)
5. Remember to clean house and have pantry stocked before 'disappearing' from the home front for yet one more ride "around the block."
6. Attend bike show (toronto) next weekend - get boots, leather jacket 'n WARMER gloves.
7. Win lottery to purchase bikes for my friends so that they can understand my bike fever.
8. Hunt for a good bike clock.

Oh, there are more -- but me thinks I've taken up too much time already!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
