So glad to hear you say you have no regrets about your purchase. I quite understand your feeling about the Boulevard. BearBait and I both still miss ours, and we'd each have one as a second bike if we could.

Wishing you continued happy miles!

I wish I could feel that way Chris... But I don't... Since my old C50 (now my son's) is right here in the garage, next to my Vic, I have had ample opportunity to ride the C50, and I have a few times, and I don't miss it...

I hate to say it, but riding the C50 feels like riding a mini-bike. Not a matter of power(I always thought the C50 was fine for power), just the general feel when compared to the size, comfort, and handling of the Cross Country.

In comparison, it has a terribly hard seat, and crappy suspension... There just is no reason other than nostalgia that I will get on it other than to move it... Don't get me wrong, I really loved my C50 when I had it, and they are a very good bike. But when you have both and can get right off of one and get on the other, and you're used to the Vic, all of the sudden the C50 doesn't seem as nice as you remembered it. Kind of like like that first love when you were younger, and you realize she wasn't as hot as you remember.

Not bashing the C50, like I said, it's a good machine, but not so good that I would ever choose to ride it over the Vic now...
And I apologize if this offends anyone, just giving an honest opinion/comparison

Interesting perspective and it makes me wonder how I would feel if I had the ability to ride my old C50 now that I'm accustomed to my Vic. I purchased my Boulevard knowing that it would be an entry level bike so I had no intentions of keeping it - long term. I will say this however, I owe a lot to the C50 as it was the motorcycle that got be back in the saddle after a 20 year break from riding. I can think of no other bike better suited for the job and it served me very well. You're right of course about the seat and it brings back not so fond memories of my 350 mile one day road trip.

Greg, you certainly don't offend me! Your opinion is well-considered and well-expressed, as always.

Possibly it's an overdose of nostalgia to still wish I owned one. But I can't forget that the C50 was *such* fun to ride on twisty little back roads here in the Catskills -- the kind of roads that seem exciting when ridden at 45 MPH. I'll always remember my C50 fondly on that account. (And I'm among the small [crazed?] minority who thought the stock saddle was fine.)

Not to mention that the C50 is what brought me to this forum, and subsequently got me connected to some of the best d*mned friends anyone could wish for, ever.

Thought you were going to say the ride wasnt as good as you remembered.

I test drove the Vision and just fell in love until I opened the sadlebag. CC is a **** fine bike as well and it has real bags. [kinda like my first love that way]

Oh Yeah!! I honestly never considered the angle about the ride not being as good... You know, having a firm seat would be good in that case!!
Kind of makes you wonder where this thread could go, if we all started comparing former bikes to former girlfriends....

The bags were what kept me from considering a Vision too seriously over the CC. Side opening bags just don't seem like a good idea to me... Especially on a woman...

But the Vision has such a BIG front end. You gents all seem to admire that so, so much.

I just loves my Victory Kingpin Low.

I just can't get over all that horsepower.
