Default Road Trip - Manitoba to Alaska and to the tip of Argentina

One of my customers told me about a friend of a friend named Ron Dicksen who is doing this fantastic journey on his Triumph Bonneville. His plan is to travel solo from Manitoba to Alaska, and from Alaska to the tip of Argentina and back! He left Manitoba on October 8th and travelled through Western Canada and Alaska in October and early November. Not exactly your ideal riding season in these parts!

He is recording his trip on his blog "Ron and the Black Swan". Here's a link:

Ron and the Black Swan | From Manitoba to Alaska, from Alaska to Argentina and back!

His last post was on November 29th and he was at Villahermosa, Mexico which is in the far south, near the border with Guatamala.

Check out his blog. A real interesting journey to say the least. He has posted some great videos. I have to say that he has some guts to be making this trip, especially solo.

I wish him success in his adventure and will definitely be following his blog for updates.

Ive been to Villahermosa many times. I have organized an oil and gas conference there annually. Gracious community and great riding areas. These expedition rides are a life changing experience to say the least. I've ridden throughout Mexico but never any further. Wife is from Colombia and we have two rent houses in the Andes region. No way to ride south of Panama. Have to ferry the bike and gear to the continent. Amazing photo gallery so far. Impressive how much gear he was able to pack on the bike.

Wow! Amazing trip indeed. My old butt feels uncomfortable just thinking about putting that many miles on a bike. Thanks for sharing the link.

Now those are some jumbo saddlebags. Gotta give this guy credit. You only get to do things like that once in a lifetime and he's taking advantage of it.
