well, turns out I am leaving tomorrow, Sunday and if anyone is interested, you can see my day 2 and day 3 routes HERE . Is best to click on the little blue View Larger Map on the bottom left corner.
Day 1 is just getting from tullahoma to New Orleans - 500 miles Day 2 I am going to take a quick trip thru the french quarter and have breakfast, then head off to Lake Jackson Tx via Galveston. Basically staying as close to the ocean as I can. Day 3 I decided I hated to get there too early If I went straight thru it was like 1,019 miles. Hitting Galveston and corpus christui bumps me up to around 1400, but day 3 will be a nice , hopefully easy 364 miles. Then daughter is off wednesday and thursday, will head home Friday, maybe saturday. Coming home will be pretty much the straightest route, but at 1,019 miles, will still take me 2 days. Wish I did have time to hit those hills, but this time will all be daughter time (my son was just up here, so can spend less time with him). I imagine I will be doing the trip a few more times, so one of these times I will take u up on that ride.

Well, weather is unseasonly warm with a high today of near 82 degrees. Looks like the same for the next few days. Could be a scattered shower along the way but other than that, you should see good riding.
