Default Slime Tire Inflator

This is $15 with a $15 mail in rebate. For that, it is worth throwing in the bottom of your saddle bag. You can either modify the plug end to add battery clips/tender adapter or add a cig lighter to your bike.

With tube tires you are screwed if the tube is shot. But if it is a slow leak it may allow you to limp to a shop/home.

We used a similar one at a Yankee Rally to get one bike back on the road (a Nomad with tubeless).

also nice having someone there who knew how to plug the tire as well...may want to also keep a a tire plug kit in your bag w/the inflator...what could have been a bad situation turned into a minor inconvience.

+1

I have a plug kit and the SLime kit (with compressor) in my saddle bag.

By in large, my left saddle bag is where all the tools are stored (bungie cords, tire repair kit, Rain gear, etc)

I have one similar to this- make sure you have the right amp outlet to plug it in if you are tapping the battery tender lead. It uses 10.5 amps and tender lines usually have a low amp fuse in them.

Capt Cruiser had the whole Slime kit when I had a flat up in Orange, MA during last year's MayBay ... thankfully! Now I carry a compressor and plugs all the time.

Only if the tube has a small puncture. Slow leak possibly. It's very rare that you can slime a tube on the road.

The Slime chemists have developed a state of the art system of environmentally friendly fibers, binders, polymers and proprietary congealing agents that inter-twine and clot to seal punctures up to 1/4″(6mm) in tubeless tires & 1/8″(3mm) in tube tires.

In the past I have carried tire inflators in a can in my car. Never have had to use it on the road. Hopefully, I never will. This tread reminds me I should buy a can for my motorcycle.

I'm glad this thread was started. I planning my winter vacation to California to ride PCH and needed a compact compressor to add to my tool kit. I was able to order the item at my local True Value store and saved the shipping charge of over $8. My money tries to stay local when possible. Have already dropped the rebate coupon in the mail and the item will be in the store next Thu.
