I bought a used Drifter from my brother a couple of years ago. He had it for 7 years and only put on about 3K. It had been sitting for quite some time when I got it. Put on new tires and a battery and rode the thing about 2500 miles just to get it home. Only problem I had was a broken speedo cable (I kept the bike for about a year and a half).

I think either bike would do you well.............40K isn't all that much and if you prefer farkles then opt for that one.
