AS I said, it's a very nice bike! One of my favorites actually, but I don't think it's a "cruiser". To me, it's a stripped down tourer. What Honda used to call a Goldwing Standard. I owned an '83 model. One of my all time favorite motorcycles. Wish I still had it. Enjoy.

Even in the Valkyrie line up there is the standard, tourer, interstate models, this one being a "standard". A tourer that looks like a cruiser. I can side with that.

Update on the Valk!
Picked her up from storage last Friday, 50 mile ride home, enjoying every minute! After a little problem getting her started on Easter Sunday (turned out battery was weak - strong enough to spin the starter but not enough to provide spark; thanks to the Valkyrie Riders Cruisers Club board for the tips), didn't get out again until today. Lovely 85 miles! Some impressions. This is a very big bike. Very similar to my Roadliner, the two bikes are very close in dimensions. Valk actually 25 lbs lighter dry weight. The flat 6 pulls like a freight train and is ridiculously smooth and tractable. No vibration through the pegs or bars at any speed. Has a very different sound (obviously) from a V-Twin, and there's a fair amount of driveline and timing belt "whine", but you get used to it. Handling very good, probably not as good as the 'liner, but I didn't feel at all intimidated in the sweepers I rode today. Can't wait to try some real twisties ![]() Big shout-out to t-man403 for his help in the purchase decision and in providing lots of pointers on the bike. Turns out I could have found the answer to my starting problem in one of his threads right here! Love the VR! I'm a happy camper so far. Now gotta spend some time polishing all that chrome - I'm out of practice with my plastic Beemer!

I'd like to read a review from you on the "Airwings".
"Capt Creole" says they're a must on the Valk. Also if you can, post a closer shot of how the Aux lamps a mounted. I just put a set of the Wal-mart type lights on top of the case guards. Haven't wired anything yet as I'm not sure yet about finding a light bar.

So, Greg... Are you going to bring that beast to Niagara Falls later this spring? I'm dying to see it in person!
