Of course, equally equipped, BMW vs. Triumph, we're talking 6,000 dollars. It most certainly is important. My bike, dressed out to kill, cost me 22k (thats everything, including specialty tools and diagnostics.) The Triumph is way less and you can afford shop maintenance, which on the BMW you cannot.

Thats an easy one. I am not going to work much longer and I probably will buy a dealership when I call it quits. That opportunity came my way recently and I put together a deal on a big operating dealer. I would have gotten Triumph from CA Honda and I would have had Polaris, along with Yamaha and some other brands.
We were very close but they essentially wanted a quarter of a million more for goodwill than I was willing to pay. I most likely will consider buying the local BMW dealer within the next decade. Te current principal and I have already had the discussion.

That's a long ride for me to go buy a bike if it were Triumph. BMW is just outta my toy budget. Besides, for me, a need it a little rough. Too refined just doesn't do it for me.....at this time.
