Which side does the Lab sit in and which side for the two cats? Also, do the two cats = 1 lab so the load is balanced?

While I am in the ongoing process of begging the mrs. to let me get a sidecar so the lab can come with on rides the d*** cats can stay home.

But seriously, if you can't carry anything you may need to carry at any given time the practical aspect of the bike goes right out the window...been known to carry all sorts of groovy stuff on the bike. (a Fender Bassman 4X10 and 2 basses for example.....somebody aught make instrument cases that attach to the bike....that would be firkin kewl!...and save more tie-downs for the amp!)

original ones look too big...nice to have the extra room I'm sure especially when traveling but they look too big...new set agree on backwards.. I think will flow better and still offer enough space...would recommend getting studs and attach to both seats to keep look consistent...regardless...enjoy your new bags

Look at my sig pic...I obviously like big bags with studs

Whatever works for you. I like the lines on your new bags, but they wouldn't work for me. I got these big bags from a feller on here at a great price and they are the only ones that will fit my 17" work laptop in a carrying case. That was a necessity for me.
A bigger bag also gave me more options to ride to the grocery store..I can fit a lot in there..or wherever I may go.

Got the bags mounted correctly, and was finally able to take her out and ride to work again today. Here they are mounted the right way...

The new ones look too small.

The old ones were mounted too high. What dimension and brand are they, OEM?

Will you be selling them and how much?

Thanks

The wife and I both liked your new studded bags the best.

They're Saddlemen Extra Jumbo Drifters. The problem I had with mounting them lower was 2 fold; 1 - my bag supports did good to support them properly given their size. The supports already stopped about halfway down, if I had them any lower there wouldn't have been much support left behind them. 2 - the velcro "yoke" was already extended as far as I was comfortable to go. Maybe an inch worth of velcro left overlapping each side. They do have a strap that helps aid the velcro, but there wasn't much play left with the velcro itself. Hard mounts would've made this easier, but still would've provided little play vertically.

They're dimensions are 22"L x 10.5"H x 7"D. I plan on returning them in exchange for another item, but if that doesn't work out i'll be posting them here in the swap meet.
