I like studded bags but the bike should be uniform and have a studded seat to go with them. The studded tank bib won't make a difference. It will just make the seat look out of place. I also think that you have them on backwards.

I gotta say, I think the studded ones go better with the bike.

When it really comes down to storage room necessity, long as i have enough room to hold my gloves, jacket, gym clothes, etc, the room is fine. With either bag, I can fit enough for myself for a weekend trip, or if my wife goes, it's dufflebag city strapped to the sissy bar

Fleabay Like $90 for the set, with a fork bag and sissy bag that won't be used. I know you get what you pay for and all, but I really thought the quality would be worse than it is. I don't see them giving me an issue down the road in durability or stability

I like the new ones.
I'm the same way as far as storage though, as long as I can pack my rain gear I'm fairly happy with mine.

I have however noticed that I can fit 1gal gas cans in each of my bags.
Also I think they might have been designed specifically to fit a 12er of beer. (fits perfect and snug.)

As long as you take care of the leather you shouldn't have a problem. Just wipe them down once a week with Maquires Leather Wipes.

My vote is for the newer bags. I think they look fine with the bike.

I tried to fit a 12 pack box of soda in each of the previous bags the other weekend. Though successful, it only worked out 'cause it balanced well. The throw-over strap didn't hold position as well, and slid around when i filled the bags. I made sure not to lean very much on the way home, and kept picturing my bags failing and spilling soda down the highway. The new bags have a laced yoke, the previous bags have velcro.
