I walked out of a store one time heading towards my bike in the parking lot. There was a guy loading stuff in his vehicle and a little boy about 4 or 5 was with him. The kid made a beeline for my bike and the dad moved incredibly fast to stop him before he could get to it.

We were out on a ride and came up to an ostrich farm where for a fee you could feed the ostriches. It was fun and we came out of it with all our fingers. When we left the building there was an asian couple taking pictures of their kid sitting on my bike!

I yelled at him asking what the fu(k is he doing and he says its ok, he just wanted to get a picture of his kid. There was only one other car in the parking lot so I started walking over to it. The OL still had the camera in her hand so I told her 'Get the camera ready. I know you always wanted to get a picture of me jumpin up on the hood of a car and taking a big dump. Today's the day."

They got the message.

Yep... That's pretty much what I felt and said. What if I went and was sitting in HIS car? Turned on the radio, lights, change the seat position, went through the glove box?

He probably would have called security or the cops for trespassing.

I haven't had that experience yet. Perhaps, I just haven't witnessed it yet. Glad to have this thread to get that thought process going though.

Exactly danimal. This is a good idea if you're shopping or going to the movies, etc. But a quick stop - prob not worth the time.

Wink

Sometimes people are misguided by good intentions. Because it was a child my reaction would be offer constructive criticism geared toward the child than the adult. However my internal thoughts would be full of trucker language.
I'm sure most everyone would have urges to do bad things if a stranger sat on their spouse.
This is why you ask if it ok before you touch any vehicle at a car show. Common sense go's a long way.

That's because Dad probably owns a bike himself.

Well it's a good thing I live in Texas where we have the right to protect our property against crime. If I thought you were trying to steal my bike I can shoot you you dead and the judge will say one less scumbag. God bless Texas!

I don't feel that shooting a person for sitting (or "attempting to steal" ) on my bike is worth killing for. I consider it along the same lines as idiot gang bangers who shoot each other for being dissed. There are times that taking a life may be the lesser of evils, but shooting someone for something as inconsequential as sitting on (or "stealing" a motorcycle), though frustrating, doesn't merit capital punishment. That's why I carry insurance. And don't live in Texas.
