most of my life, I've ridden bikes with a 35 inch or higher seat hight, not many looky loos gonna throw their leg over.
But I've never had anyone sit on my bike without asking. You could get beaten for that.

When ever possible I park where I can see my bike. I see a lot of people checking it out. If I see them get a little to close I just wonder out and say Hey careful you don't touch it, I know that guy and he is a real A**hole. They say thanks and move along.

Can't prove the concept but I was told that an empty gun holster on the seat of the bike is a pretty effective deterent to people messin with a bike.....

On thing you can do to discourage these clowns from sitting on your bike is to put on one of those inexpensive, thin motorcycle covers on your bike when you park it. They don't take up much room and easily fit in the saddle bags or even a windshield bag. When you put it on don't pull it all they way down. Keep it above the engine and pipes.

Not for a child but if some random grown man ever wandered up and had a seat I just might throw some chuncks of lead at him. Could be stealing it for all I know.
Never rub another mans rhubarb!!! Seriously RV even your wife asked me before sitting that little red headed boy on my bike last year in Rio Grande Village. It's just common sense.

Yeh, people are funny like that. Unbelievable what people must be (not) thinking at times.

I don't know what I'd do if I found someone on my bike when I came out of a store or something. I wouldn't be real happy about it, but I'm not a "beat your ***" kind of person either. |
