Does that alert come to your cell phone by any chance? How cool would it be to have a way to 'call' the bike and make an announcement over a speaker... "I know what you're doing and you need to move away now or I'm coming out there".

Cant use this all the time though. The bikes a frigin disneyland for stray cats. So it keeps buzzing when cats come close.Seen cats fight for who can sit on my bike and make a home. I dont mind but them frigin cats pee on my bike to mark terrority. When its my time to use the bike, the bike stinks. Bummer

Sprinkle some fine ground black pepper around. Doesn't take much. I can't stand cat pee.

When I bought my c50 a 66 y/o man at work thought it would be manly to swing a leg over my bike. Why is it when a non-rider sits on a bike they always jerk on the bars? The old man did this without permission. To keep peace at work I quickly did a mental inventory. I convienced myself to stand at the rear of the bike incase it started to fall. While he was sitting on it I told him how much weight he was responsible for. His eyes widened. When I told him there are some bikers in this world that would (for lack of better words) whip his ice for doing just that. His eyes then had a look of fear. I had a stearn look in my eye.
No harm done, no blows passed. I didn't even tell him to dismount. Just a minor heart attack on my behalf.

If an old man is Laughing at you for no reason, you might want to take a mental inventory because you might have lost something.

Awesome idea for the cell phone. There actually is an alarm that does that but its soooooo expensive. Close to 500 dollar something. Dont remember the brand. But i do remember it being italian. Was offered to me by the delear but i declined after he told me what it costs.

Black pepper. Ok will try. I do want then around though...... All those little paw marks on the bike feels like i have goodluck with me. Yes im superstitious hehe

I work in IT, and many of my coworkers are Indians (not Native Americans). We had a team lunch one day and since we work in different offices, I rode my Harley to the restaurant. Afterward, I was walking to my bike and one of the Indian coworkers ran to my bike, and climbed on, scuffing his shoes on my saddlebags in the process so his buddy could take a cell phone pic. I was livid, but figured they didn't know any better. When this little 5'7", 140 pound guy tried to stand my bike up off the sidestand, I had enough. I told him it's a 900 pound bike and if it fell over on him, it could seriously injure him. I also explained that in this country you don't climb on another guy's motorcycle without his permission.

I wanted to tell him that if I ever caught him near my bike again, he'd be going to the emergency room.

I think you showed a great deal of restraint in addressing that person as "Sir." I might have used a different pronoun.

The only time I've caught someone sitting on my bike, it was a kid; and on my ride home that day a woman pulled out of a parking lot in front of me and I couldn't stop in time. I know the two things aren't connected, but now I'm a little superstitious about stuff like that, inaddition to all the real reasons that people shouldn't go messing with things that aren't theirs.

So far i've had the good fortune of folks round here both knowing my bike and just as importantly knowing or knowing of meJust these two little bits of information are enough to keep folks from messing with mine. People I've never met know me and my bike at first sight...I guess being crazy and considered somewhere in the neighborhood of psychotic has it's benefits....or it could just be everybody remembers the time I chased my brother up Main st. with a machete after he f****d with my bus....I dunno.

Cactus jack -not only indians, all the third world country folk. The biggest bike they ever gonna ride is a 150cc. When i tell people that my bike is 800 cc they go in shock. Second shock comes when i tell them you get 1800 cc also.....

I've never had anyone touch my bike ever (knock on wood). However, back in the late 70's I parked my sports car on the street to get a quote for new tires. I few minutes later, I looked out the window and saw a man sitting in my car. I walked out and pulled him from my car by his hair.....I walked back into the store and the salesperson was laughing because the dude was screaming like a girl.

this topic disturbs me. The more I think of finding someone sitting on my bike, the more I think I might do something rash like beat them with a baseball bat.

Also the more I think about it, the more I think I should start carrying a baseball bat around.

Someone sat on my bike once in the parking lot at my work. I didn't catch them but everything was adjusted and moved around.
Makes me worry for the worst one day, if someone can do that without me catching them... it also means someone can abuse my baby without me catching them also.
