so for the lack of nothing better to do in these closing days of this riding season, reviewing this years riding days, came to the realization that this probably will be my best riding year. Started the year with 27,874 on the oodometer and this morning started the bike with 44,211...so that makes 16,337 miles so far. So if your still with me...and if you are, you have less of a life than I do...sad...very sad...however...make a guess as to how many miles will be on the odometer when its forced to go down for the season Dec 6 (surgery on knee). That leaves 25 days to potentialy ride...of course this is New England and we have just experienced our first storm, but pretty much all gone now and this week looks like good riding possibilities. Work the nite shift so riding will be done before heading into work as potential of icy road conditions will not make for a wise choice to take to work. Usually simple cruise will last 60-90 minutes...with the possibility of 1 or 2 more 4-6 hour cruise...Ride w/heated gear so cold plays no factor. Today...went on a day ride with members from here and took the long way to our lunch meet destination. Total riding time today 6 hours..figure todays miles into your guess, this week looks like good riding possibilities. Winner of contest will get 3/4 pound of yellow jelly beans but prize will be more Bragging Rights than of actually receiving any such prize. Excuse will be "prize lost in the mail" but on a good note, you'll never have to say again 'I've never won anything". So take a guess...closest to the number be it over/under...what the h#ll...good luck.

with that guess the only thing you'll be picking up is a parking ticket from your windshield when they tell you they got nothing here for you and you tell them to keep looking.....

44211 + 300 today plus 40 miles per short run for you for 20 days. Add 2 more 6 hour days at 300 miles each.
