-12C\10F and light snow here this morning. Just enough to make the drive to work slow so I'll stay home for a bit yet.

Let's see. You have 2 days of rain/snow forecast and you're helping your daughter 1 day so far. That leaves 4 days providing that your daughter or your wife don't ask you to do things to help out. Looking promising.

Day 19...Thursday...ok...got out for an hour before meeting my daughter...left house with

on the dial...by the time I got back an hour later the face in the box read

only 47 miles but 47 more miles than I expected...will say found myself riding very cautiously worrying about icy spots that may be lurking around the next corner but just decided to drop the cruising spped by 10 mph and really focused on road conditions...mans gota do what a mans gotta do to feed the need...looks like I'll have to hold off on

Mfile2000......45,500 for a liitle bit longer as he still is the present day leader...official lowering number is 45,755...6 days to go...

sure does look like a 3 horse race now...however nfallon55 46,011 now getting a second wind and still pretty much alive and kicking replacing M50Dave 46,675 whose fading fast...Capt 46,112 and Big Bird 46,121 still waiting to make their move down the stretch... tommorrow...have to be at daughters new place for cable guy...we all know how reliable and unpredictable cable guy can be getting to ones place with that 18 hour window they give themselves when scheduling appts...alot really will depend on sunday, mon, tue, wed...work days too...anybodys guess at this point...fwiw...Capt Cruiser has been observed recently practing removing a flag stuffed in his back pocket and throwing it down in the event BigBird gets him at the wire...decision may have to go to a vote just in case...of course ones way of looking objectively at these situations can often be swayed by the temptation of what J.R. Ewing so often said..."Every man has his price".....wonder what the going rate is on a vote......

or perhaps a better way to look at it...

of course in the case of my vote...

sure could get me to look at things a certain way....and would really have to take a long hard look now that I think about it...maybe even have to take several long looks before making a decision...wouldn't want to make a hasty decision...nosiree....just want to make sure I see things clearly....you know...

thats not what I meant...really...no guy would ever do that...never....ever....right.....hmmmmmmmm. We are losing sight of the purpose of this contest...what was the purpose.....really do think its time to get a dog or gecko...good thing the wife doesn't read this forum.

^^^ (*&R(*#& Celsius. Is that good?

Just for the record, my 2000 Sprint ST just turned over 50,000 miles (only about 8k ar mine) and can still snap your head back when you hit the throttle. I have a tough time riding with this around 30F temps in the morning. Not sure if the black stuff is black ice, or just wet roads. I do a few skid tests before I head down the hill in the morning.
