Default I bought a Suzuki Gel Seat for my 01 Vol

and it is not as flush to the tank as the original seat. I can get my index finger in between the seat and the tank but is bolted in and stable. Can anyone tell me if this is the normal fit? Maybe it will get tighter to the tank as the rubber feet on bottom get broke in.

Pretty hard for a "gel" seat but I like that it keeps me from sliding around and I think it looks good.

I can run my hands underneath the bottom on the sides but the front and rear are flush to the tank. I can't do that with the original.

Oh, and found a bolt to the frame missing underneath the seat! Dang, gotta go to Ace Hardware tomorrow!

They did this so that it would bother you so much that you really didn't notice that it really wasn't any more comfortable than the stock seat...

That's how it sits.

I couldn't tell the difference...except in the Texas heat, the gel was MUCH hotter...

Only rode about 30 mins yesterday so the jury is still out on the comfort. It does keep my arse in place, which was what I wanted. I have the removed the passenger seat so I would slide a bit on the original seat without the pillion butted up against it. Got a good deal and it looks good too! It's all about looking bada$$, right?

There is a plastic hook on the front of the seat that may not be inserted into position.
The seat is firm but gives better weight distribution due to how well it fits.
I have a pic here that shows how the front of the seat should sit .......best one I had hope it helps.
