sprinkle a little pepper on to offset the salt...not enough of a reason not to ride...never let the salt end my season...might have to clean more often soon after the ride but the price one has to expect to pay to ride...nothing pleasureable comes w/o a price...won't even bring in that other gender references at this point...think we all agree thats a given.

They hosed the roads here with salt yesterday, in anticipation of the nor'easter. Which left me with a dusting of snow, no more.

Unless we get a heavy rain and a sudden mild spell after it, my riding season's done. <sigh>

Pulling a U-haul enclosed trailer, plus a two day trip directly south, will net You some fantastic riding weather.

don't give up yet , warmer weather will come and rain will wash the salt away.

My bike is not a museum piece under glass. I ride it as long there is no ice on the road. Then wash it. I think some time mid dec. I'll put it away for the season. Next week looks good as far as the weather but it's New England give it a minute.

If you get salt on the bike, rinse it off with warm water. The caustics in salt are activated by cold.
BTW I rode to work today, it was 37 on the way in.

I ride my bike behind the salt truck and collect as much of it as I can. It saves big $$ on Margaritas.
