Default Suzuki going bankruptcy?

I'm sure many of you saw the news that Suzuki Automotive is going into bankruptcy. Now I know that doesn't have anything to do with the motorcycle division but what do think of that news and will effect our beloved bikes in any way?

I just posted onebout this too.. Its a shame- But their cars really were nothing special and nothing to really hold value.
It is a sad day tho when something like this happens!

The only good thing ive ever seen come from a Suzuki automobile was my aunt's hot neighbor. Ugly lil' car that was always being worked on, but the driver was hot!

It is American Suzuki Motor Corporation, a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, that has filed Chapter 11 in the US. With only 365 employes in the US, ASMC is only a distributor, not a manufacturer.

Suzuki Canada has not made any such announcements at this time so SMC will likely keep selling their cars in other countries. It's not Suzuki as a whole, or in particular its automotive division filing for bankruptcy, only it's US distribution company ASMC. I haven't read anywhere where SMC is going to quit making cars.

They said they were going to concentrate on the motorcyle and ATV side of the business now.
