Default My review on my Honda VTX 1800!

For those that may be thinking of upgrading to a bigger bike, here is my thoughts on my VTX:I have a 2002 Honda VTX 1800s that had 5800 miles on it when I got it this past August. I have put 3100 miles on it so far and love every bit of it! The bikes frame is stretched out which is nice if u have longer legs. The ride is smooth as butter! It is a heavy bike but I like the feel of a heavy bike. I don't feel it is top heavy. I have no problem in parking lots handling the bike(even 2up!!). The power is unreal(I do have a fuel commander and Roadhouse Slipons). With all that said... I get between 30-36 mpg. It has a 5.3 gal tank with the light coming on a 4.3 so u will have a gallon left when light comes on( no gauge). So, over all, I am very happy with the bike and will rack up the miles for sure. Ok, I'm done, get back to work!!!

Good to hear that you like the bike and are putting some miles on it. It's understandable that you would like a big heavy bike when you use them for deer hunting.

My riding buddy likes to change bikes too he bought the Suzuki S50 when I bought my Suzuki C50 he found the S50 too light , he switched to Vulcan 1600 Classic for more weight he found it too heavy, and currently switched to a new C50 which he says is the ideal weight for both his long and short rides.

Do you hunt deer with the Honda VTX to get even with the deer that helped to total your Vulcan?
