Default I'm a bad person - Returns to Denniskirk.com

I purchased a set of saddlebags from denniskirk.com about a month ago or so. I've used them, but they aren't dirty and haven't been "used" all that much other than just being on the bike. I'm starting to prefer a different look for the bags, so i'm debating on returning them. They have a 90 day return policy for unused and unaltered items, and they aren't even dirty really and still can pass for unused. I just don't have the original packaging or ARS label. I found some cheapies on ebay for $80 that i think would look better on my bike, studded and a tad smaller. Anyone ever returned something to denniskirk or any other manufacturer this way? I figure it'd be easier to return to DK and repurchase a different set than it would be to sell in swap meet

My take is that if you're asking other people about it, you already believe it's probably wrong and are looking for outside support to help you change your mind.

Since you're asking, I believe if you bought them and used them, and if that's what disqualifies you from returning them, then returning them as "unused" would be wrong.

With that being said, you wouldn't be the first or last person to do it.

The question for you is, if you already worry that it might not be right, can you live with yourself if you do return them?

Well, i wasn't really asking if it was ok or needing peace of mind about it, just asking if others have done the same and making general convo. Oh, i know it's wrong, and if it was a little mom and pop shop, I'd never do it, but being a major online supplier it does help put my conscience at ease a bit. A return of a $100 sale item that they'll easily resale to the next guy isn't even a drop in the bucket for them IMO. The only way i won't be able to "live with myself" is if i dislike the next set of bags even more LOL I want some that look a little more like the kind i see on my friend's HD Heritage Softail. Or at least studded and curved, can't afford some actual HD bags.

Put yourself in that guys shoes for a moment. You just spent $100 on a brand new item...only it isn't.

Honestly, there'd be no difference in cosmetic, physical, or functional duty of the item. But really? You just had to kill it for me? I really hate having a conscience most days...

You already know it's wrong. Ask yourself, what would you tell your child?

interesting delimna...bought my willie & max saddle bags from a girl on ebay...got the bags and realized they were never used...emailed her and asked her why she sold them since it was obvious they had never been used...told me after she bought them didn't like the way they flowed with her harley...so I ended up with a $140 set of brand new bags for $70....

A different tak, I had some of the cheaper bags n I've got some better ones now. The cheaper ones will not stand up to much use, so you may want to think about this a little more. Cheapies are cheap for a reason.

Why not selling them here or ebay?
