I learned that my cycling gear can pull double duty for motorcycling too!!
Take the padded bike shorts! They've got the chamois pad sewn in, which keeps your posterior cool and comfortable, on a hard bicycle saddle. When you use it as a base-layer for motorcycling, you introduce a whole new level of long distance comfort, no matter WHAT saddle you're on! Seriously... It helps to eliminate monkey butt!
In the colder weather, I use the compression garments (Ok, I won't call them tights!) as a thermal base layer, then long-johns, then jeans, then chaps. The result is long term comfort, moisture wicking fabric against your skin and with the cycling shorts added, no monkey butt!
In fact, the wind-proof cycling gloves work even better for the motorcycle!
