New 2013 C90 Coming?

Talking to my Suzuki dealer today and he says that there is a "new" C90 coming to Canada. He couldn't say an awful lot as the info that he had gotten so far was minimal but he did say that it would have hard bags on it and sort of a fairing look and that there would be a "blacked-out" model offered.

Checked the 'net and couldn't find anything about it yet, but did find this about a 2012 model currently sold in Australia. Could this be coming to North America?

EDIT: Just realized that if you click on the video links in the Australian write-up it takes you to videos that describe it as a 2013 SUZUKI INTRUDER C1500T and the first one staes that it is a US equipped model shown.

Looks like a new engine as it is water cooled. I believe that the old C90 was air cooled, wasn't it?

Looks like a new C90T / C1500T is coming. Thanks for the neat post.

The first video says it was shot in the USA with a USA spec motorcycle.

When I added a link to the video the computer imbeaded the video in my post really surprised me.

So I just added the secound video and it too produced an imbeaded video.

Yes we are indeed looking forward to it down here in Australia. Suzuki Australia have announced a 2013 release.
Don't know when this model will arrive in North America.

I guess I'm mistaken in saying that it is currently available in Australia. My Google seach pulled up 2012 results and when I saw the 02/10/2012 date stamp on the suzuki.au website write-up I assumed Feb 10, 2012 and not October 2nd.

Should be intertesting to see the bike when it arrives, either at the mid-winter bike shows or the dealer's showroom floor.

My dealer seemed quite excited about it as they haven't had anything to fill the gap between the C50 and C109 for a few years now.

There's a 2013 C90 Black listed on autotrader.ca somewhere in Quebec. My french is really bad, so I can't say if the bike is currently available or if the dealership is advertising pre-orders. I'm partial to having chrome accents, but I think the Black looks great.

On a side note, are the earlier c90's air-cooled? I was going to look into getting one, but I do a lot of city driving/commuting, and I would prefer to have a liquid-cooled engine.

The older C90 were oil and air cooled. The new C90 is liquid cooled. The older C90 had a small radiator to cool oil. The new C90 has a much larger radiator which supports the liquid cooling which many prefer for city driving and closer engine tolerances available with a liquid cooled engine.

Thanks for the info on the C90's cooling.

I got a 2009 C50SE last year (my first bike - yea!) but already I'm dreaming of going bigger, once I get some more riding experience, of course. I love my C50, so I was giving serious thought to the C90. But I do a lot of city driving, as well as dealing with heavy traffic while commuting, so I would much rather have a liquid-cooled engine.

Guess I'll keep the C50 for a while longer until I can afford a newer C90.

They had one on display at the Moto GP here last weekend, I'll wait for the shiny ones.

Did love the hard panniers though.

Cheers, Ozrider
