Heres the vR BMW contingent from SAMM at the Dinosaur Barbecue on an anonymous Saturday night. My bike, Gregsturs K whiner and Pbryons GS is in the back. His is nicer than mine, somI hid it in the back of the picture.

The Hells Angels there loved the Beemers and none of them rode 350 miles to get to dinner

Well, i think i have it worked out. Hopefully, i am trading my bobber and my 80 suzuki GS750 for the BMW. Just waiting to get a yes from him.

trade and run, change your phone number after the trade, move and never contact him again. I love that Beemer. If my wife would allow me to put another bike in the garage ( I have 3 and sometimes marital discontent is not worth the enjoyment of another bike), I would go buy it at that price.

after buying my 2012 BMW K1600 GTL and using it all summer.
I would say, you cannot go wrong and trade it and run like the others said.

If your talking about the K1600 - It sure is !!!
Took one for a test ride at steelership in May and fell in love with it !!
drove 1000 miles to winnipeg to get it took !! Well worth in IMHO

Money held me back from buying a BMW. The R1200rt is the one I was looking at. Not a big fan of buying used. Old mind set that I'm just buying someone else's problems. Of course a three or four year old model has 75,000 to 100,000 miles on it or more. So here I sit waiting for my pot of gold to get big enought.

But good luck on your new used BMW.

I am now the proud owner of a 2002 BMW R1150r. I traded my bobber and my 1980 suzuki GS750 for it. The BMW is flawless and super nice. I love it. Thanks to everyone for your input.
