Default 43 degrees and warm as can be

just got home from trick or treating with the grandkids. I rode my bike. Coming home it is 43 degrees out.
I wore a pair of pants I actually bought for winter fishing from cabela's (clearance item), but I actually like them better than my winter bike pants as they are much lighter and just as warm, then a synergy heated jacket liner under a firetrack ventilated (yes, I did type ventilated) jacket with the synergy leather gloves.
Jacket turned on 2, gloves also at 2......
could not have been toastier.
The only hint of a chill was my chin, but I am currently wearing a 3/4 helmet - but I just ordered a G-max GM54S modular that should be here Friday.
Stuff is awesome.....no such thing as getting cold anymore

I rode for an hour at 46 degrees 2 weeks ago, 730am. I had jeans, thick socks, summertime riding gloves (mesh), and a leather jacket. 30 min into the ride, my hands were aching from the cold. I didn't realize my legs were so cold till I tried getting off the bike. I took a 10min ride to Lowe's tonight (50 ish degrees) with my new gauntlet leather gloves, neoprene mask, and leather jacket, and very much enjoyed the ride. I'm too cheap for the heated gear this year, so far anyways. Sure would be nice tho...

I have that GMax helmet. It's great for the warm weather, plenty of vents. It has one of the best sunvisors out there too, nice full coverage. Mine also has the LED light in the back. With the chin spoiler thing in there it's ok in the cold but not as good as my RF1100.

My 29 mile ride to work begins @ 04:00 cst which now is 2 hours 15 minutes before sunrise give or take a few. Was 42F this morning. I watch the weather forecast real close. What I've noticed and later learned why, in our very humid climate the temp drops about 4-7 degrees just as the sun rises. ALso learned why we have frost on the cars at 37 degrees.

Why does evaporation cause cooling

Anyhow, those who hit the road just as the sunrises will know where that chill is coming from.

38F is my cut off. No electric clothes as of today and no I don't get cold. I do get cool, but who can't take 30 minutes of cool?

Very simular here except it's only 15 miles to work and today is very wet.

must be a typo. I thought your reply said "cool evening". that doesn't come close to qualifying here in northeastern Ohio.

Pfffft...Florida. After living there myself for 20 years I can say Floridians are true wimps with regards to temperature.
