Default Avanced MSF Course or Track Day?

Anyone do both? If you can only do one, which would it be?

I'd do a track day on my Connie, but the AMSF course is easier access around here.

I RiderCoach the MSF ERC and I did track day this year. Both help folks become better riders.

For a C50 I would do the AMSF..for a sport bike I would do a track day. A LOT of what you learn at track day would be applicable to a C50..but it would be odd to be there on it. Plus if you were at one that requires full leathers (they all should) you would look a bit silly in the power rangers suit riding a cruiser....lol

A lot of good track days will provide leathers and a bike. When I go, I go to KTM's track Day at Mid-Ohio. For a very reasonable fee they provide all the bikes and gas. I would do one of those, and they are affordable.

It is well instructed and the instructors promise that at the end of the day you will go as fast as you ever wanted to go on a bike, and they weren't lying.

I've done both. I would recommend both to any rider.

The Avanced MSF Course will teach you how to handle your bike in ways you didn't think you could and track day? You can put those lessons into practice and explore just what a bike can really do, in a safe and controlled environment.

I also proved that it is NOT what you bring to the track that matters. It is how you handle it!!! ( I did track day on my wife's Maxi-Scooter. I had more than one person look at me like 'Are you serious?' By the end of the day, I had made a bunch of believers out of those same skeptics!)
