Yeah, I was leaning toward Metz myself...until I read about the new Michelins.

Right now it's just a matter of deciding whether I want to go with whitewalls. If I stick with blackwalls, I'll probably give the Commanders a try. (I'll be the VR guinea pig.)

I bought Michelins for my car once...top of the line 60 series. They were designed for long tread-life...80K if I remember right. I took them off after a year. The rubber was so dang hard I got no traction in snow or ice and they were marginal in the rain.

I agree , i watch a buddy do some involentary offroading on a CBR 600 2 weeks after he put "touring" tires on it instead of sport tires, hard rubber= longer tread life and significant loss of traction
