10ish... Have to be in SB or SLO by early afternoon. We understand that normal people have commitments on Xmas day. We commit to this annual 2 week moto tour vacation early in the year and tell our children/ grandchildren we are gone and to not count us in to be home. This is our 4th consecutive year. San Diego to Cabo San Lucas in 2009, Guanajuato Mexico two years ago, Sedona AZ region last year and this year, PCH. We've already done A1A to Key West, 89A in AZ, US 550 in Colorado, FM 170 in Big Bend, Tx. Checking them off our bucket list year by year. We have to go west, SW or south of the border to ensure the weather is dry. We can do cold, just not wet and cold.

I lubricated my shifter linkage. Lately when I downshift the pedal has been a little slow to pop back up into position. I thought maybe I was getting a little interference from my crash bar chaps, but when that didn't completely solve the issue, I took some WD-40 to every moving part of the linkage, and now when I downshift, the pedal snaps back to attention crisply. I know that WD-40 isn't the best long term lubricant, so when I get a chance over my Christmas break I'll work a little oil into the linkage.

Today I remove my pair valve and made the 8x2 motorcycle stand. Also installed my new radiator grill. Gotta say I love the way the grill looks. Will look bett with my highway bar installed.

Installed my new teardrop risers (from Ebay) and Kuryakin grips. Now I need to modify my Vista Cruise control to fit the new grips. I like the rise and pullback on the handlebars, now. Feels much better than stock. Also adjusted my headlight. Found it to be aimed way too low.

Installed a replacement Metzeler 880 WWW rear tire after the other one needed to be replaced prematurely after getting a sheet metal screw in it on Christmas Day! Merry Christmas to me! I did get over 10k miles on the tire so still better than the stock tire!

Ripped out my toolbox and made some cuts to fit a Rockford Fosgate amp into it and give it some air to cool it. Put together the beginnings of a blackbox that will mount to the top of the risers to hold the stereo. Still working on looking for a bulhead connector for the USB that doesn't have a 10 foot cable and has a cap and a 3.5 mm to RCA bulkhead connector with short wires and a cap. The stereo already has a USB cable coming out the back to plug a thumb drive into and a set of RCA jacks for the Aux. Everything out there seems to have a 10 foot cable coming out of it.
