I'm surprised at the number of changes... altered geometry. I agree, wet clutch for off-road is key.

As an aside, I did the complete tune-up on my bike (Camhead 2010 RT) Everything EZ-Peazy! All my valve clearances were in range, (One was at the limit of normal range, an intake at the limit of the range (it was .13 and acceptable is .13 to .23 for the intake)

One thing I forgot to do!!*)(&*)(&

I should have pulled that rocker arm to see what size shim was already in there so I could order one to get it back to the middle for the next time I look at them.. probably not for another year!) but at least I then would have had something on hand to get it at least closer to the middle as I expect it to stay the same or perhaps tighten a bit. (seems typical) Everything else was done in the past few weeks, complete brake flush, oil/diff and filter change. Air filter change and along with the valves, throttle body sync- was spot on. This bike is soooo easy to work on... kids' play!

Pretty much everything a dealer does. Combined with fluid services its the only service intervention my bike has ever needed.

I did get a final drive seal replaced and a new fuel strip (both for free) also, my brake lines have been replaced twice under a recall (Inever had any issues)

39,000 miles and counting, I've spent less than a hundred bucks at a dealer on the bike except for tires.

I do have a nice set of tools specifically for the bike with all sockets and wrenches necessary, along with wheel, spark plug and oil filter special tools and a GS 911. It did cost me $400 to put the tools together, but that included the GS-911 capable of servicing up to 10 bikes.

Can i borrow your GS 911? Pretty please
