Can any one help me. I got 04 volusia limited looking for a heel and toe shifter. I went to suzuki they sold me one from a 2005 c 50. I looked at it and said it won't work. They said oh yes it will. So I got home and tried it of course it doesn't now there saying I would have to by the bracket from a 2005 and it should work. Does any one know if it will work. Thx.

If you find someone who wants to trade from the C50, you need everything from the frame out, which includes the brackets. Some people want pegs and are willing to trade, worth a shot on the swap forum.

No, it will not work with your current setup. Return it and ask for your money back. You need one for a Volusia 01-04 for a simple bolt-on. The last time i was at my local dealer they had one on the shelf for 119.95.
Or, as Jen said, to use the C50 shifter, you would need everything thats bolts to the frame, bracket and all.

Just to confirm for ya ghost, I traded a guy on here and put his c50 floors and brackets on my volusia. The will work and once you get the whole setup you will love them. Stick to trying to get em on here though because if you buy the shifter, brackets and other hardware from the dealer you will have about a $600 investment. With mine I ended up trading for my stock pegs.

Here's a link to a post I made on my VL800 Bobber Project blog that has a couple photos that show how the heel-toe shifter is on my bike.
I have since removed the wing looking foot rest and put a set of Kuryakan Small ISO Pegs on her. Maybe this will give you some ideas. http://hood-online.com/the-bike/
