Clearing out the garage

I had been holding on to some pieces for a while as I'd hoped to reuse them on a new bike when I got one. Well, I finally did this week but won't be able to used any of my Volusia pieces (I bought a Valkyrie). I wanted to offer them up to the Vol community here before they go on CL locally as a "thanks for all the help over the years". So I'm going to clean out the garage. These following items have actually been stored in my house since I've taken them off the bike. Dug them out of storage today.

1) Leatherlykes Cross Country w/studs: $300 + Shipping
Have mounting brackets. Good shape, some wear on the concho tags. I had these on my Vol with a set of V&H Straight Shots and they had plenty of clearance. (edit: Just looked at these and can't find the key. Thought it was with the mounting hardware. I'll go to the locksmith tomorrow and see if he can cut a key. The bags are open so he can see the entire mechanism, shouldn't be that hard to get.)

2) Willie & Max Hooker Tie Down: $20 + Shipping (SOLD TO THUNDERHOOF)
Goes under your passenger seat with four hooks (two per side) to allow tie downs. I had just bought this prior to selling the bike, has maybe two uses on it.

3) Tank bib (Unknown Manufacture) w/studs: $45 + Shipping (SOLD TO BIPESTUFF)

I have to head out to the garage, but I think I have a gel seat (much more comfortable than the stock)(both rider and passenger) and also a Grasshopper backrest for the rider (not for the passenger). When I find those, I'll price them and put them up too.

OK, was on a roll so went and grabbed that other stuff. Here's the last of the lot:

4) Aftermarket Gel Seat (both rider seat and passenger pillion): $175+ Shipping
- OEM Gel Seat. This was a lifesaver for me, so much more comfortable than the stock seat.
- Because I was asked, the pillion measures between 8 1/4 and 8 1/2" wide.

5) Riders Back Rest: $40 + shipping (see in photo above with pillion seat) (SOLD TO DANNYRIDER13)
- Was looking for the receipt, believe I bought this from Lonnie off Grasshopper.com. I can't find the mounting bracket for it, so you would have to order one (or make one). (The brackets are available thru Grasshopper for a cost of $20 after calling them today.)

6) Chrome light bar: $15 + shipping (No lights)
- Got this in hopes of adding additional lights to my Vol. Never happened. So the bar has never been used.

Added two more pix of the light bar. To answer a few of the questions posed recently: There is no name of the manufacturer on the bar. I bought this off someone else to use and never got around to it. It was out of the wrapping so I never saw a manufacturer name. In the two new photos, you can see there are four bolt holes in the bar. Two on the back frame of the piece, these would bolt to your turn signal lights (I think) and then the mount extensions each have one bolt hole (on each side) to mount any lights you want to add to the bar. Hope this helps clarify. As for dimensions: the back bracket (the main back piece) is 13" wide and 2" high. The width of the bolt holes on the back mount are 4 3/4" from center to center. The total width, including the light mount sections is a touch over 16".

Got the backrest from Lonnie at Grasshopper. It should work with either. He doesn't differentiate on his website for the type of seat you have.

Just a reminder, the mounting bracket (not included as I can't find it) just hooks up to the driver's seat rear bolts and the seat back slides into it.

PS: I called Lonnie's shop today. The bracket is sold separately for $20. They said just call and order it.

I had an '04 VN800 (Vol). Not sure if it would fit the '06. I do have a tentative sale (I take them first come first served for fairness). If he backs out I can definitely measure the width on the brackets for you to see if they match up.

I've posted two new pictures with measurements. Yes it does have vertical holes to mount auxilary lights. Hope the new pictures are clearer...sorry about that.

Interested in the drivers seat back... but I need clarification. It is for the regular seat, not the Mustang seat? I guess I am trying to clarify that the OEM gel seat you had it for is not a Mustang seat? I don't know much about these seats, but I know Grasshopper sells a different seat back for the Mustang seat. I have a stock seat and want to make sure it will be compatable. Also what would cost be with shipping to 33496?

That's right Danny. It is NOT a Mustang. I used the Grasshopper with this seat that I'm selling.

As for shipping, it's too big for the small flat rate box, so I'd have to go with a medium size shipping box which are $11.35.

David, I PM'd all that info to you the other day. I also added it to the sale part for the light bar here. But here it is again...
As for dimensions: the back bracket (the main back piece) is 13" wide and 2" high. The width of the bolt holes on the back mount are 4 3/4" from center to center. The total width, including the light mount sections is a touch over 16".

I agree. I've got a set on my Boulevard. Excellent size, lots of room, sturdy, durable, and locking. Mine have a helmet hook hidden on the rear facing side, under the lid of both bags.

Got my driver backrest from Ragin Cajun and the bracket from Grasshopper. My back feels sooo nice. Need to make a few adjustments, though, cause the backrest does push me forward towards the tank. Nothing I can't handle, though.

I got my Hooker from Ragin. Great transaction, fast shipping and the Hooker was in excellent condition. (As a side note, I never knew you could order a Hooker via the mail. What a country! :p )

Thanks Ragin for meeting me with the Oil Filter. I appreciate it. I'm convinced that the VR family is one of the best M\C forums.
