***No longer looking for swap thank you to those who responded ***
Hi guy's just chasing some interest here, I have my 2009 model C50 Boulevard has done around 4000klms, and it's now a full bobber style bike. I would like to convert it to footpegs so looking to swap my set of OEM floorboards, brake and shift levers etc. full conversion with someone who has a low klm 09 onwards footpeg style set-up. Mine have no rust on chrome or paint, so would expect the same quality pegs etc. (aftermarket pegs would seal the deal )Problem is I am in Australia so freight aint gunna be cheap I'd imagine to the US, but we'll cross that bridge depending I guess. Too bad your not interested in 2005 model m50 pegs/controls. Mine only have 5600 miles on em. Worn very little if any. No paint missing rubber pads in great shape and no rust

So the only reason you want pegs is the look of the bike? I feel tempted to swap my floorboards for pegs too. Same bike. but i want to do that coz the boards are super buzzy. 80kmph and in 10 mins i loose all feeling in my feet. I have heard pegs coz less buzz coz they have a little bit more rubber on them
please let me know if u get less vibration/buzz after you do the conversion thanks!! |

I have a complete setup from my 06 M50 with only 1800km on them if interested. Pristine like new.

I like the minimalist look too, though the boards are opulent and nice on longer runs as you know you can drop your foot anywhere and feel comfortable. I have taken my bike on a couple of 200klm + trips for the day and don't loose feeling in my feet, nor do they go tingly/numb, infact its quite comfortable so I'm a little hesitant to get rid of them but just can't afford to buy another complete set of pegs and keep both. Have you thought about the shoes you are wearing when riding or the way you hold your foot on the board, because i have a single springer seat and am short at 168cm tall & I usually make sure my foot sits on the board with only a small amount of my rear heel ball, unless I'm pushing 150kph > then its planted flat... Could you do me a favour and send some pics of them, I realise they are on the bike so whatever pics you can get would be good. If you have trouble posting them up on the website here just send them to shajar32@bigpond.com Cheers, Shay Last edited by shajar; 11-24-2012 at 11:14 PM. |

Sorry to waste everyone's time here
, but I'm thinking it may be best if I just bought a complete set of pegs etc. that way if I don't like them I'm not stuck with them...plus I believe freight for my floorboards to US will be a killer I'm talking near $100 odd. I might also try find someone locally that may want to do a swap for a while (if we both like then keep or not then easy enough to swap back). So for my better cornering dilemma I am going to bring the bike back to its standard ride hight as it's currently lowered. I noticed the footpegs sit a fair way forward too which may not be as comfortable for the shorter riders like myself. Thanks to all those who responded... |

Wow 150 kmph. I have never gone more than 110. The buzz on the floorboards kill me. I go max 80kmph all the time. Since i got the bike off the showroom. So now im sure i have a problem coz no one has said the floorboards vibrate a lot.
I have good shoes so no worries there. Something wrong with my bike Ya its a good idea to juz source the parts from where u live. Cheaper. I live far far away and all the parts i have got have been twice expensive coz of shipping costs Sent from my iPad using MO Free |
