Another one of those hmmmmm biker moments...

landed in Johnstown Pa last nite.. on 4 wheels....to spend a weekend w/my daughter for a kayak festival...shame I couldn't take the c90...great roads...checked in...super 8...seems nice...no critters...for what I'm paying, it's a crap shoot...decided to hit the local sheetz and get some snacks and flavored cream for my morning coffee. Yeah, I know... flavored...spoiled I guess...milk in coffee...puke...half & half...doable... flavored...a true coffee drinker would understand. Maybe not...a true coffee drinker drinks it black and strong...guess that makes me a wanna be coffee drinker.

Anyway...pull in, some ugly looking bald headed tattooed just got out of jail appearing biker dude sitting outside at one of the tables sipping on a coffee, texting on his phone, gives me a glance as I pass by....no problem with the bald head or tattoo's...the ugly part...well... He's riding a HD...nothing spectacular...nice, but have seen better...seen worse...I'm sure he could care less what I've seen. Do my shopping, go to leave and decide to "play the guy" we all have encountered who makes the comment about "nice bike...maybe one day I'll get one," etc... so I stop to give it the once over, give him the usual... nice looking ride...he looks up...makes eye contact...says nothing...goes back to his texting...I figure must be pretty important...so I circle the bike and try again w/some meaningless mindless mc related bs...again...same look...same response...

so I take the hint and head back to the ranch...yeah...maybe the guy was just having one of those days...maybe just not the talkative type...maybe sick of people like me making ignorant comments...maybe..maybe...maybe I should just do my shopping and mind my own business and save my a** from getting kicked for trying to be friendly... Nah.........

Been there...fortunately haven't done that...someone takes the moment...I'll take the moment. Life's too short.

So while heading back I figure if that's the worst thing I'll encounter this weekend...this should be a very good weekend. Keeping fingers crossed and hopefully have learned not to stop to talk to ugly looking bald headed tattooed just got out of jail appearing biker dudes.

Whats the big hurry...slow down and enjoy the ride!

Maybe it wasn't his bike and he drove there in a Fiat?

I have an '08 C50.
Everyone makes me ride at the back because of my Morton Violators.

Interested in a replacement gas tank, in black, but I'm cheap

DC,

You don't even have to have tattoos on your head. I'm old school and don't like people stalking around my bike either. even if its to admire it. he probably wasn't very talkative.

There are two groups of riders, those who want to talk about their bike and show you how cool it is, and guys who want to be left alone; they know how cool their bike is because it's theirs.

Tatto boy and I fit in the latter category.

Maybe he had an opinion of you, like you did of him
He just thought he better keep his mouth shut since he sounds like Mike Tyson and you were intimidated by him.

I can head East or West, it doesn't matter as long as it's on 2 wheels.

That's right, Bob talks to everyone and everything, even himself.
