Great Timing

So this past week was able to find two days back to back in the lower 60s in VA. Happened to coincide with two meetings I had in Richmond. Drove out 3.5 hours from Roanoke with my 07 c50 and had a great ride out and back. Tried out a new pair of gloves along the way. Truth be told, they were an old set of gloves I've owned for 5 years for firefighting. It's a pair of Ringers Extrication gloves that have a blood born pathogen barrier in them. Making them water and pretty much wind proof. They did amazing. That evening, after the meeting, had a 20 minute ride on interstate and it was in the low 40s. I got to my destination and to my unbelief my hands were actually warm. Real warm. Enjoyed getting out for two great days of riding and some good meetings too.

I like the looks of these gloves. Too bad I just spent more than twice the price for Gore-Tex gloves to use in winter and in rain!

Plan for tomorrow and live for today.

I took advantage of a sale of BMW Pro Summer gloves. They have a Gore-Tex liner that stays in place when taking the gloves off. They don't have the most protection but a good amount in the right places. They need to break in a little more - a little stiff out of the box. I have worn them in the just over 40 degree weather with grip heater on. I also have silk glove liners to wear if my hands get cold.

I haven't tested the water proof feature but they are rated well for water. They tighten down well in two places and could seal water from my hands if needed. I have summer gloves and in the summer would probably only use these if raining because they would be hot.

Sounds like a fun ride! Always good to catch a day or two with mild temps. I'm down here in Radford, VA. We should catch up and ride sometime! I'm on an '06 c90t

My stepmother bought me these a couple of years ago. Cheap but they work pretty well. They make booties as well which keep my feet toasty too. The only issue is that they NEVER break in, so they always have that new glove feel.

If you’re waitin’ for a woman to make up her mind, you may have a long wait.
