A new experience today

While riding today I experienced a new phenomenon. I drug the floorboards for the first time in a turn. Startled me at first then I was laughing and grinning from ear to ear. I actually got into some traffic today while gassing up at a busy station in an intersection. I have been using the ethanol free fuel so I am forced to bypass the easy to get to stations and brave the traffic in town to get it. Up to 550 miles now and really enjoy the bike.

LOL. I drag my pegs more often then not. I came from riding sport bikes and still have the habit of leaning hard and fast into corners (within the bonds of the bike) and scrape the pegs. The first time I did that with my wife she said "What was that noise?" I replied "Nothing just dragging a peg on the asphalt." She freaked a little I am the only person that she has ridden on a bike with and only on this one. She knew my old street bikes but never saw me push one of those.
I do enjoy the feeling of a good hard turn. and the feel of a little scrape.

I drag my pegs and bevel the outer edge of my boots while using 10% ethanol gas.

It seems the same...

Did this too once when I first got the bike and was figuring out turn radius onto my street. I thought I was going to drop the bike, but with a little throttle and it pulled right through. Good to know, I thought to myself...but I haven't turned like that again.

I have to be careful or I drag the pegs turning onto the on ramp. Practically no clearance on the bike.
