Man, my part of Texas only has like four roads in the county. That's why I like to ride in your part Steve. We will have to ride in someone's part of Texas before I get out of here. I can't wait to get out of the west Texas heat. We've already been in the triple digits off and on for a month.

Head over to Concan and check out the tubers on the Frio. Lot of good roads over there and water to cool off in.

I'm hanging on the San Marcos river camping this weekend with the Boulevard and the RV. Riding out to Canyon Lake, Gruene and River Road.

Took the bike on another excursion today through Boerne and Sisterdale to Luckenbach. Sat and listen to a band for a while...pretty decent band too. Had a glass of tea and some good fried chips then started home. I left Luckenbach, then through Sisterdale to Kendalia and Bergheim back to San Antonio. Here's a pic from Luckenbach...

Well I took one of my VR buddies (who remains nameless) with me today and it was his idea to head off to a little spot on the map called Center Point Texas...Home of Dave's Place. Really couldn't get pictures to do it justice so here is the write-up from Texas Highways...The Travel Magazine of Texas:

TH Taste: No Place Like Dave

We left there and headed into One of the Best Little Towns kin the Hill Country...Bandera Texas. We play a few rounds of pool at the 11th Street Cowboy Bar. A very well-known rider hang-out and saloon.

I logged 163.4 miles in all with today's trip that ended being a scorcher.

yes, I must remain nameless to protect my innocent nature and name.
After all, it was not me that a certian young lady - who's middle name was definitely TROUBLE - was looking at like he was a chocolate cupcake. And, I don't think it was me [ maybe it was] that asked Ms. Double D's, if she would do a historical reinactment of the placing of one of the bras on the ceiling.

The 11th Street Bar [ in a town that you wouldn't think has 11 streets] is rated # 22 in Texas.

yes, those are horses next to the iron pony's.
The main bar is only about 20x20 and is filled with belly up bar, two real nice beermaids, a one hole bathroom, and the ceiling is covered with bra's of every color, size, shape, and fragarence known to man. [ Brings a tear to my eye just thinking of it]
The rest of about a 1/3 acre is covered patio with pool tables, dance floor, outdoor seating, a bigger outdoor bar staffed with two more beermaids.
You have young, old, kids, families, and singles. Everyone is friendly and out to have a good time, but to quote an old David Alan Coe song - " The bikers are staring at the Cowboys who are laughing at the Hippies, who are praying they get out of there alive"

next time, one of us will have to remember to bring a camera.
