Modding the fenders?

Hey, I'm sure someone here has done something like this (it may even be a member, I found this using Google) but I'm not finding any posts about cutting fenders. So, if anyone's done this how hard was it? Did you like the results? Are there any big problems that I should be aware of before hacking stuff apart?

yea idk, if it was my bike I'd probably pick up a fender from the swap-meet or eBay to try on first. for some reason, i like having a bunch of boxes taking up space with original parts. I know that when I went to "drill" into the bezel it melted I imagine the fender would be similar, hard to clean up and make it look pretty without a lot of energy and time. what kind of look are you going for that you want to cut the fenders? have you checked the other models to see if they have fenders like what you are looking for?

I've been looking around a little. I really like the one in the picture. I like the way the stock come all the way around and go down towards the ground, but I've never been a fan of the way they flair out. There was a custom sure I found but they're not in businesses anymore. Plus, spending as much as I paid for the bike just to change a fender is probably insane. lol

lmao yea I feel you on that fortunately, I got my bike cheap and it was 100% stock. needless to say, I've made a lot of changes but the fenders I like. have you tried pm'ing anyone that has done any modification to fenders? have you looked at blue collar bobbers? I think they do fenders and I know that they do c50's
