I have a 2004 Volusia. I'm interested in putting my rear fender, illuminating the stock tail light and turn signal assembly. What I'm looking for is ideas on a tail light and license plate mounts. I know mean cycle sells a plate mount that is made of billet aluminum but I really don't want to spend 200+ dollars on amount
..

Please post pics of your rear ends...?(Not that one)

Please give me some ideas. I eliminated my front fender and I hate the look of the rear end on this bike.

Also if you have any tips on cutting the rear fender and where a good place to cut it would be let me know! I want to do this right

Here's a link to my bobber build, with pics of the rear end. I used the front fender, cut in half, and mounted with 4 bolts and bushings that I had to cut to a custom size to get the spacing correct on both sides. It actually was a bit of a pain to get it centered just right with clearance all around. But it can be done.

I fabricated a bracket for the license plate, and mounted it to the two bolts that are on the left side swing arm. Again, see the pics.

Good luck.
