Wolo or Stebel Horn install ???

After doing a search here, I have found a lot of info on the horn subject...although most of the info is quite dated. I am trying to decide between the "Wolo bad boy" or a Stebel horns. Kinda leaning towards the Stebel at this moment. My intent is to depair my 2006 C50 (thanks Mike: Moccs Place ) and install the horn in the location where the pair box was on the side of the jugs.

Question: Anyone done this yet, and if so, would the hardware that comes with these horns (either the Wolo or the Stebel) allow me to install it in this location ? Or am I looking at fabricating some sort of bracket in order to secure the horn?

As always, your responses are very much appreciated.

C50 pairs are solenoid operated.
When you take it off be sure to take care of the wires.

I have the stebil but mount to a down tube on my frame.

I also mounted mine to the frame just behind the toe shifter...but I bought the chrome Wolo and it works just fine...

Only hardware you get with the horn is a single bolt whose head is complementary to a molded "bracket" of sorts on the horn. So regardless of where its going, in all probability you will need to have or fabricate a bracket of some sort to hold it to the bike.

And I believe Stebel horns are no longer made.

Dude, I swear I wish you lived closer...we could knock these out in a matter of minutes. Ok, well, the number of minutes and beers would be directly proportional. But I've wired 3 lightbars, 3 horns (2 stebels & a Wolo), etc. Heck, we could probably do some of these between super and the news coming on! ; )

Thanks Eric. that's an easy fix...just drive down on saturday and we can work on the bike and knock out some cold ones.

Looking forward to finding a time where me, you, and Whiskey could meet up with a couple VR's from B'ham for lunch one day and just shoot the $h!+

Hopefully the link works, but I installed a Wolo Horn a short time ago. I've used it a few times since. Works great. See the pic where I attached mine.

the link works Nelz. i remember when you posted that thread. i plan on doing this mod soon, after i finish my lightbar. But, I'll go ahead and run pos and neg wires to make the future horn mod easier. Assuming you disconnect the OEM horn, but did you leave the wires in case you remove the Wolo when you get rid of the bike? Or did you use them for the wolo?
