Default Staples or rivets to cover seat

I am planning on adding studs to my stock seat. Which would work best to attach cover to seat frame, pop rivets or staples? I have a Bostich staple gun and also the rivet gun. Thanks for your help.

If I remember correctly, been a long time since I had the stock seat, but I think it is stapled. I know the Mustang is riveted. I would try the staple gun and see if that works for you, if not, well, use rivets

If you use pop rivets, you would have to drill holes around the plastic structure, which I would imagine would weaken the attach structure. Every seat I have seen uses staples, preferably stainless steel or marine grade. besides, if you ever need to open it back up, it would be a whole lot easier with staples. Just my opinion.

Do you want stock studded seats? I just pulled mine off. They have about 7k on them, but are in very good condition. They're off a 2007 C50T, I'd be happy to work out a deal with you on them? I've been seeing them on eBay, $99 for front $75 for rear. I'll do $75+ Ship for both if you want them?

Do make sure you use some good quality studs. Chrome Plated Brass are the best, steel one's will rust.

Here is one source:

Thanks everyone I guess I will go with the staples. It would be easier and take less time. I already have the studs. I had just enough left over from another project and thought i would put them on the seat as a winter project.

You can stud the seat without removing the cover. See the Mustang seat web site. Excellent how to instructions and they sell quality studs as well.
